2019 Youth Job Opportunities
WHAT IS THE SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE?
There are more than 25,000 high school students and nearly 100,000 pre-career young adults who reside in Shelby County each summer. These students and young adults face limited opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends and create unique memories. The Summer Work Experience provides a safe environment for students and young adults to achieve all three goals – all while being paid up to $15/ hour in one of two specialized job programs. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8AM – 2PM. Pay is $10 per hour.
